Age: 8 years old (approximately) Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: No Good with kids: Yes, older kids only Weight: 70lbs (needs to lose 5-10lbs) Name/Nicknames: Milo My Story: Milo lived with the same family in rural Southern MN all his life, but when he started to chase the neighbor's cats, the family decided to give him up instead of working through the issue. Milo sat at the shelter for a couple of months before Pet Haven had a foster home open up for him, so he came up! Milo has never met a person he doesn't love and greets everyone with a tail wag and big, broad Pittie smile! Hobbies: Milo loves to play - whether it's with another dog (he will be submissive to them - even males!), with toys, or with his humans. Commands/Tricks: Milo knows "sit" and he is working on additional basic commands in his new foster home! Crate / Potty Trained: Milo is both potty trained and crate trained! Activity Level: Milo has a medium energy level. Don't let his age fool you - he can go for a nice, long run or have a wrestlemania session with a fellow canine. But, he also isn't a young spring chick; he enjoys his couch potato time as well! Fun things I do: Milo is a sucker for treats and is very food motivated; have a savory snack in your hand and he will sit and give you the cutest puppy dog eyes ever! Socialization/who I currently live with: Milo originally grew up with two adults and several children; when he was surrendered it was reported that he did great with everyone. Milo's first foster home with Pet Haven included two adults, their 12 month old daughter, and their resident Corgi mix dog. Milo did great except that he resource guarded his toys and bones around the young child (but not the adults). For everyone's safety, Milo has moved to a home with an adult male, where he only has occasional supervised contact to older children and this scenario seems to work best. With assertive humans (aka adults or older kids with dog experience), Milo is incredibly submissive. My Ideal Family: Milo would fit well into just about any household dynamic as long as there are (1) no cats (2) no really small kids (3) dog experienced adults in the household. Milo is the sweetest boy who has so much affection to give - please give him the chance he has deserved all along! Milo will be attending Pet Haven's adoption events. His adoption fee is $320 (cash or check only) and includes spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccinations, and microchip and registration. Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 60-mile radius of the Twin Cities area.
